Tell me why I have to do this again??

Phillip's first bath. The nursed bathed Phillip in our room so we were able to see how much he hated his first bath. Posted by Picasa

Ready or not here I come!!!

Phillips Birthday!!! 17 hours of labor!!! Phillip was born at 8:01 pm. He was 6lbs 13 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He was really dark. He looked like he had a tan. Daddy was amazed at how small he was. The two ladies in scrubs are Phillips nurses. He came out in two pushes. There is also pictures of Mommy and Daddy the day before Phillip was born. Mommy had Mexican for lunch we think this is what started the labor. Posted by Picasa

Home Sweet Home

Phillip's first day home from the hospital. Everyone was so excited to see him. The kids really enjoyed every moment they had with him. He had a great disposition and barely cried. Our first night home he only woke up 2 times. Daddy held my hand all night and stayed awake all night watching us to make sure we were ok. What a guy!!! Posted by Picasa

Phillip 1 month. Phillip was a lot easier than his brother and sister. He is very laid back. He is always happy and loves to sleep on our chest. He hates bath time. His eyes are still a dark blue and we hope they stay. His hair is getting darker though. He loves to be outside. Posted by Picasa

Phillips 2nd month

We keep telling ourselves how lucky we are to have such a great baby. Phillip has to go to daycare for two months and we are dreading it. But it is only for two months and then he will never go back! He was able to meet his mother's side of the family and take his first long car ride. He did great. Phillip 2 months Posted by Picasa

Cardinals Game Aug - 2005

Eunice was able to get us great seats for the Cardinals game when they played the Nationals. This was the kids first Pro baseball game. They had a great time. Hunter loved the Eagle and decided to cheer on the Nationals against Bob's pleas. I was able to meet James Carvel. Bob missed 2 home runs because he was getting me food. He was not happy about that. DC Trip January 2006

We had a great trip to DC - January 2006. The kids were able to learn a lot of History. They enjoyed seeing the monuments, museums, and ducks. Although Molly is scared of heights she went with us to the top of the Washington Monument. I wish I could say the same for Bob. He stayed on the ground were it was safe. Phillip stayed with Grandma and had a great day.

December 2005
What a month it has been so far! It has been very busy for all of us.
Hunter - This month Hunter has earned a higher belt in Karate. He worked so hard that he skipped a belt and earned one higher than what he was supposed to get. We are very proud of him. He tested for the gifted program, as requested by his teacher, but we have not heard back yet. He may be starting swimming lessons next month. His dad may sign him up for a class. His grades are wonderful. He is the only boy in our neighborhood until recently. A new family has moved into the neighborhood and they have a little boy 1 year older than Hunter. They are inseperable and have been together almost everyday since he has moved in. Hunter is planning on staying a week with his dad over Christmas break and will be having his first sleep over New Years Eve.
Molly - Molly joined choir last month and has been practicing on a Christmas play every monday since. We were able to see her talent this past Monday night. She was in front at the performance and looked beautiful in her black dress that she did not want to wear. She will be performing in front of the school on the 23rd of this month and she is very excited that her friends will see her sing. Molly's academic performance is spectacular we just have to work on the talking in class. She is doing much better though. She will be having her first sleep over on New Years Eve as well and is very excited. She is asking to join Karate and we are strongly considering it.
Phillip - This little guy has had a busy month. He has said his first words, Mama and Pappa, tried to pull up on everything in sight, eat solid foods and scoot around on the floor. He is trying his best to be like his big brother and sister. He still has his beautiful dark blue eyes and big toothless smile. Yes toothless! He still has not cut his teeth. He is finally in his 6-9 month clothes. He is growing like a weed. He goes to anyone and everyone. He loves brunettes. He is in love with a women on the kids channel that has dark brown hair. He will stop whatever he is doing to look at her and smile. He has been sleeping through the night for a while and wakes up in the morning with a huge smile. He definately takes after his father. I hate mornings! We continue to show him pictures of everyone so that he will always know who you are when you visit!
Bob - My husband has been working a lot lately. He has not been home before 6 in weeks. To bad he does not get overtime. He is very tired. He has passed all of his CPCU tests. He now has his masters in insurance!!! One of the elite at Geico. We are all very proud of him. He now has time to enjoy his family and his TV!!! He has turned into quite a repair man too. As soon as he fixes one thing two more break! He misses everyone and was happy to get a vacation at Thanksgiving to visit my family and can't wait to visit his family next month. He misses everyone terribly.
Tomasina - I am busier than ever. With 3 kids, 2 in school and 1 in diapers, I don't think I have time to breathe. I love it though. I would not have it any other way. I am busier now than I ever was working at Geico. I was able to visit my family at Thanksgiving which was much needed. I missed them something aweful. I can't wait to visit Bob's family. It seems like forever since I have seen them. We were able to take the kids to see the lights at the beach and Phillip was in awe. He loved all the bright lights. Bob is planning on taking me out for my Birthday and I am very excited. I am also very excited about this blog! I am glad the children will have some documentation about their childhood and everyone can stay up to date on the kids, pictures and their activities.
We all love and miss you all!!!!
The VB Hoods
The holiday season is over and we have finally made it to everyone's house. We had our best Christmas yet. We really enjoyed going to everyone's house and having everyone visit us. The children had a wonderful time opening presents, playing with their cousins and talking to family. Bob and Liz were able to make it down the day before Christmas Eve. They were able to stay for a few hours and spend time with all the children and Phillip recieved his first hand made quilt. He plays on it everyday and lounges on his comfy yellow blanket daily. Bobby received a hand made gift from his dad that he treasures dearly and immediatly added it to his sports room. I personally loved the sheets and table cloth. Hunter shoots his marshmallow shooter everyday and Molly has almost mastered the game that she received because she plays it so much.
Eunice and Andy were able to join us all day Christmas Eve and spent a lot of quality time with us and the children. We had a lovely dinner together. Hunter received a star wars ship from them and loved it so much he has writen stories at school about it. Molly received a game that she has played with all her friends. Phillip recieved his favorite blocks and carries one around with him as he crawls on the floor everyday. Bob received his pants he has been asking for and the dvd that he has been hounding me about for 1 year. I received a beautiful necklace and our wonderful whitehouse ornament. I think they are the most beautiful ornaments.
We traveled up to Eunices the first weekend in January to have Christmas with Mike, Katherine, Aunt Diane and the girls. We all had a wonderful time and stayed up really late. The children played with all their toys on the way home and the bow and arrow set that Mike and Katherine got Hunter has become the weapon of choice for Hunter when he is outside. Phillip has clung to his stuffed animals that A. Diane & David got him and Molly has made buttons for everyone in site. Bob and I have thoroughly enjoyed our gift cards and I have had a different scent of bath and body works on everyday!!!
We were able to take Molly and Hunter to D.C. the day after. Eunice spent the whole day with Phillip so we could enjoy our outing in D.C. The children learned a lot about American History. Hunter and I were able to ride in a F-18 simulator. He was the Gunner and I was the Pilot. I crashed a lot. He was able to hit 5 targets. Go figure! Molly and Bob have a fear of heights so they did not take part. Molly did however go up in the Washington Monument. Way to go Molly!!!! We will be sending out pictures soon of Christmas and Washington. For some reason this blog will not allow me to add them anymore.
Bob - he is going up for a new postion at Geico and it requires a lot of travel so he will be busy if he gets it. He is a perfect match for the job so I have no worries. He has started to teach CPCU classes at Geico twice a week during his lunch hour and he is a big hit. The V.P. even asked him to say a few words at the last cermony. He was unprepared but of course still did a tremendous job. I am very proud of his recent accomplishments.
Molly - She has started field hockey. Her first game is this Saturday. We are all hopeing for zero bruises. She continues to make A's and B's and is progressing in her behavior. She has become a jhige help around the house and has started to enjoy the outdoors more. She really enjoys riding her bike with the neighborhood children.
Hunter -He has been asked to join the Karate team. We have decided to hold off another six months on allowing him to join though. There is just too much going on with school and spring sports to let him join now. He is my little baby-sitter. He loves to play with his brother every chance he gets. He is also doing very well in school following in his sisters footsteps and making the same grades. He is still top in his class for reading.
Phillip - he has finally pulled him self up to a standing postiion. No steps yet though. No teeth either. He is a lot more talkative and is starting to make some really funny expressions. He is enjoying his toys a lot more this month and is getting better at crawling. He is like his dad though and does not like to sleep any where except his own bed. This makes it hard to visit. His iron was low when they tested it this month but the Dr. said that more chicken and beef in his diet should cure that. He has the best smile in the world. It lights up the whole room.
Tomasina - I have had a great season. I love being at home with the kids. Bobby got me a gift cert for a day at the spa and my best friend kid napped me on my birthday and we spent the day there. It was so wonderful. My dad had to go back into the hospital for his dye treatment. He made it through that and then they told him he may have to do it again. So I am waiting to hear about that. We are going to travel to W.V to see them at the end of the month. I cant wait. I worry about them a lot and like to check up on them every chance I get. My mom really enjoys Phillip when we go. She calls him Jr. and holds him the whole time we are there.

We hope to see more of everyone this year. We had so much going on last year it made it hard to travel. I hope you all have a great Valentines day and I will send pictures in the next day or two. We love and miss you all.
P.S. please excuse the spelling errors I am doing this with Phillip on my lap and there is no spell check.

Bob, Tomasina, Molly, Hunter & Phillip

We really miss everyone and hope to see more of every body this year than we did last year.
