Grandpa Jerry

It will be two weeks ago, on Tuesday, that Grandpa Jerry passed. He was a great man. A lot of people have this said about them but, you can never find someone that met Jerry that would say different. He was loved and admired by more people than anyone I know. He was always happy during good and bad times. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. His grandchildren worshiped the ground he walked on. Hunter and Kristen learned so much from him. Despite the fact that both sets of their parents are loud & rowdy, they are quiet, laid back and strong. This, I believe, they learned from watching their grandpa. He is the only person who has those characteristics on either side of their families. He was always willing to help us no matter what. He loved all my children even though only one was his true grandchild. He gave Molly and Phillip the same love he gave Hunter. He even called himself grandpa Jerry when he played with Phillip. Peggy and Jerry always bought for my family not just for Hunter. They never left out anyone during a holiday. How many ex in-laws do you know that would do something like that? Not many!! He was a true blessing in our house. He always had something funny to say every time he visited. Even though he was calm and laid back, he was hilarious. He always brought a smile to our face even when we didn't want to smile. We will miss him terribly. We will always love him and will never forget all the times we spent with him.
