Our first Christmas was with Mike, Katherine, Grammy and the girls. Phillip received a huge color wonders play set from Uncle Mike and family. This was his first year really understanding what was going on with exchanging of gifts and family time at Christmas. he new Santa was coming with gift but he didnt quite understand that there was different times we would be opening gifts with different members of our family. After everyone left he informed me that Christmas was over and that Santa had given his present to Aunt Katherine and she gave him a HUGE gift. I tried to explain to him that there was more to Christmas but he refused to listen, argueing that Christmas was over. I told him that Uncle Mike, Aunt Katherine and the girls got him that gift. He argued again saying no Aunt Katherine was the only one that got him a gict for Christmas and that Christmas was over and he got a huge gift! As if the rest of us didnt love him b/c he didnt receive a gift from us yet. He carried those coloring books around for days and treasured that gift! Bob said "of course he is going to treasure it, wouldnt you if it was the only gift you got for Christmas"? We laughed at this for days!!
